1 pair or 1 set 4mm US 6 straight or circular needles
2 different types of stitch marker (x and y)

20 sts and 28 rows to 10cm 4in over st st, after washing and blocking

Pattern Notes
Brambling is started at the left point, increased to centre width, and then decreased down to the right point. The different colours are worked using the intarsia method described in the photo tutorial. Stitches are always worked in the same colour yarn as on the previous row, making it simple to keep your knitting neat. The fluid shapes of the colour blocks are created by working increases and decreases within each section of colour. Two sets of markers are used to help to keep track of your work — x-markers indicate the edging stitches and y-markers indicate the colour changes.
